Our
Services
Our network of professional tutors is made up of certified teachers and/or
four-year college graduates. We have experience in providing effective
instruction for students of all ages. We’ve had success working with
students who are easily distracted or have memory issues, as well as those
students with ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, dyslexia, or autism. Most
importantly, our tutors sincerely care about their students’ well-being, and
take care to make certain that their teaching strategies are appropriate and
effective.
Tutoring on Your Schedule
We work around your schedule when scheduling tutoring sessions. You never
work around ours.
- We can travel to your home or
meet you at the local library .
- Sessions can be scheduled during
the day, after school, or on weekends.
- Sessions can last for a couple
weeks, one month, or longer. And because we know
schedules can change from month to month, we only
schedule one month at a time
Individualized Instruction
When we design an instruction program, the student is part of the team that
creates the program. As we get to know the student, we take into account his
or her:
- Goals - Does the student need to get ready to learn, to catch up, or to get
ahead?
- Learning styles - Is the student
a visual, auditory, or hands-on learner?
- Interests and Talents - Does the
student see that he or she is special?
- Strengths and Weaknesses - What
learning strategies have worked in the past?
- Special Considerations, such as
special needs or gifted status ?
A Good Fit
Part of a successful tutoring relationship is the fit between the tutor and
student. Before you ever make a commitment to us, you will have the
opportunity to talk with the assigned tutor by phone and experience one
tutoring session. Once the session is complete, you make your decision.
