Tutor Application
We are always looking for qualified tutors.
Because tutoring sessions can take place in the student’s home, local
library, other community venue, or even the tutor’s home, our tutors are
found all around the Western Washington area.
You choose when and where you tutor.
We always try to assign tutors to students who live only a short distance
away, since we do not pay for mileage.
This position is on-call and part-time. A certain number
of hours worked cannot be guaranteed.
Requirements:
- Must be four-year college
graduate with significant/paid tutor experience;
- Certified teachers preferred;
must have at least 3 years classroom/tutoring
experience;
- Experience with AD/HD, dyslexia,
or autism a plus;
- Must have expertise in the
subject to be tutored;
- Must have proven
communication/interpersonal skills (e.g., returns calls
promptly, sensitive to student needs).

You must be available to tutor immediately, be a current
resident of Western Washington, and have a working knowledge
of the area.
Assignments are dependent upon the student’s location and
days/times of availability, and often last anywhere from 3
-12 months. Students commit to one month at a time to allow
for changing schedules of the student and/or tutor.
